Did you know that your dog can give you poison ivy? Or, that you attract mosquitoes with every breath you exhale? Maybe this all sounds a little buggy, but I know something for sure - there's definitely a buzz in the air! That's because all of those pesky bees and mosquitoes are back for the warm weather! But, take it from me, the skeeter expert who knows how to outsmart these little critters, there is a way to avoid them and other "pests" throughout the spring/summer season: knowledge.
I want to welcome you to my site, Lanakids, where I, "Miss Skeeter," offer kids (and curious adults) information about all kinds of things that may cause you to itch and scratch this summer. From stinging bees to poison ivy and jellyfish, you'll learn cool facts, including ways to avoid these hazards and what to do when you can't. Hopefully, I'll be able to clear up some myths, as well.
I'm sure you'll be itching to play the cool games I've created for my site (make sure you click on "Itch Games"), and there's even a picture of me to print out and color in! Plus, if you have any questions about summertime itching, or you want to suggest something for the Lanakids site, click on the "Ask the Experts" button, and I'll be sure to zap back an e-mail to you!
I also want to welcome my friend, Bart Bumble, who will be helping me spread the word about how to avoid bee and wasp stings.
So, get out your bug spray and sunscreen and let's get started!
